Being Black in Dubai, Conversations from Black American Men: Tea Talks with Jes'ka Washington

While there is so much going on, on American soil...we take some time to look at the Black Male Perspective in Dubai with our first part of a three part series. In this conversation, we start with the simple question "How are you feeling?" and allow the discussion to flow naturally from there. In the next 25 minutes we discuss policing, the black male stereotype, fear and frustrations and end with a hope for all. In this episode Ashley Brown and Heath Bailey both discuss the state of now with being black in America and their roles while living abroad. We look at how this affects their family as well as roles in the school system. Our host Jes'ka Washington is an author, curriculum driver, educator, instructional coach, mentor and leader. She uses her previous work in education over the past two decades to dive into discussions that are dedicated towards developing each participant and provide a professional development that enlightens as well as nourishes the soul.
